About Me

Hello, book friends! Thank you for coming to my blog! My name is Riya, though you know me as La Petite Book Girl. I am a thirteen year old book-addict born and raised in a small town in the US. I live with my mom, dad, adorable little brother, and my peach faced lovebird, Peachy. (because me and my family are really creative with names😂)

Some things I enjoy are:

-playing the piano and flute,

-traveling (I’ve been to over ten countries),

-photography,

-creative writing,

-learning Spanish,

-spending time with my family,

-playing with my bird, Peachy,

– absentmindedly talking about different fandoms, especially The Hunger Games.

-reshelving my beautiful bookshelf, which right now alphabetized.

-keeping my books in pristine condition, even if it involves carrying a “book-bag” everywhere so my books don’t have to go my in dirty backpack.

Here are some quick facts about me:

-I can not DNF a book. It is just ingrained in my soul. I just NEED to know what happens next even if that book is the most boring thing ever.

-John Green and Rainbow Rowell are my favorite YA authors.

-I mostly read YA fantasy, realistic fiction, and occasionally, historical fiction and sci-fi, when I’m feeling “out of the box.”

-I rarely watch movies that were not originally books, (I’m more of a “TV show girl”), so my favorite movie right now is probably Cars.

-Austin from The Backyardigans was my first crush.

Catching Fire is my favorite book from The Hunger Games series.

At the end of all my book reviews, I end with my rating of the book. This is my rating scale, or how I decide what number to categorize each book under:

5: OH MY GOSH THIS BOOK IS SO AMAZING I WILL RECOMMEND IT TO EVERY STRANGER I SEE!!

4: I REALLY enjoyed this book and will still recommend it to all the people I know!

3:I liked this book…. though it was kind of just, meh.

2: I don’t like this book. This one is pretty simple.

1: DNF, I hated it, I will strongly encourage all strangers to not read this book. (This one will rarely, if ever, will appear on this blog)

Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments and subscribe if you haven’t already!

Adios,

La Petite Book Girl
