I wrote this poem yesterday, and I was quite happy with the way it turned out, so I decided to share it with you all!
The air thick with blistering heat,
Grass as dry as the desert below our feet.
But, oh, a great miracle arises,
As it makes music; it improvises.
It dances across the meadows,
As it’s friend, the wind blows.
It drips down our skin,
Washing away all our sins.
Rat, Tap, Rat, Tap,
It plunders down on the metal roof.
Tat, Slap, Tat, Slap,
It refreshes all the fruits.
The smell, earthy and musky,
For me, the scent is quite lovely.
It moves fast, like a fish on a mission,
Like it had a good night’s sleep.
And though the sky appears to weep,
It calms, the tender melody played by a musician.
Rain, my favorite weather,
I could live with it forever.
Thanks for reading! What do you think about the rain? Let me know in the comments👇
